Board of Directors

JOEY LISkH, President

Joey comes to the YCCO board as a supportive parent and mentor of all youth he encounters; with a love for music and performing arts, and a past choir student himself, he shares his passion for the development of programs that encourage musical education opportunities in our community. Bringing years of compliance, finance, and professional development expertise, he is excited to be a part of ensuring that YCCO continues to flourish as a respected signature program in Central Oregon.

Amy Bennette joined as a board member in 2022. Her daughter has been a chorister with YCCO since 2017 and continues to sing in the rich atmosphere that YCCO provides. Amy has volunteered with the choir since 2017 in various capacities, including fundraisers, catering, and chaperoning. She has spent time running a small business, volunteering with various youth organizations, and raising her family in Central Oregon. "YCCO's approach to music nurtures a culture of community within the choir, to individuals, and to the audience as a whole. Music has the ability to lift spirits in a unique way, and I have seen the huge impact YCCO has made in our daughter's life. I am grateful to be a part of that!"

Janice Durham, Member

Hi! I’m Janice Durham, a lifelong Oregonian who returned home in 2003 after a few humid years in Virginia—turns out I missed the pine trees, mountains, and fewer bugs! My husband and I have raised seven children in Central Oregon, where we’ve lived for over 20 years, and we’re now proud new grandparents. I’ve worked as an insurance agent, homeschooled for four years, taught art and Essentials classes, chaperoned countless field trips, and stayed active in our church. Music has always been close to my heart—I’ve played the flute for 35 years—and our family now runs a local plumbing business.

I discovered YCCO recently through my daughter, who absolutely loves it. I was immediately drawn to the organization’s professionalism, musical excellence, and supportive community. It’s an honor to join the board, and I’m excited to help YCCO continue inspiring young choristers to grow, thrive, and sing with joy.

Buffi studied musical theater at the Orange County School of the Arts and has continued to participate in music even while shifting her focus to accounting and finance. She earned an MBA from UC Davis, and has worked in accounting and finance for over 20 years.  She has experience working in nonprofit organizations, specifically interning with Breathe California while working on her MBA, serving on the finance committee for the YWCA of Sonoma County (CA), and serving on both the board of education and the board of stewardship (finance) for St. Mark Lutheran Church in Santa Rosa, CA.  Financial stewardship and oversight are her passions.  Buffi is excited to join the YCCO board with a daughter in Premier and another daughter in Debut. “YCCO has helped my daughters not only learn music, but YCCO has also given my daughters a place to belong and grow into confident young women.”
